THE CANAL MUSEUM -

1605 N. VERITY PKWY.

The Canal Museum was erected in 1982 as a replica of a lock tender's house.  It is located on the former site of the Miami-Erie canal and the Hydraulic Canal on the outskirts of current Smith Park.

At the Canal Museum you are able to learn about what it was like living during canal days and learn more about Middletown's history.

If you have not been to the Canal Museum in some time, we highly encourage you to check it out as there have been some changes.

The Canal Museum is NOW OPEN every Sunday from 2-4p.  We hope to see you there.

Please reach out to the Middletown Historical Society if you are interested in becoming a volunteer.
