2019 Annual Meeting

Middletown Historical Society will have its Annual Membership Meeting on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at the Middletown Historical Society Shartle House at 120 N Verity Parkway (Across from United Dairy Farmers. Open to the Public.

Please come and hear the Presentation by Justin Mays at 6:30 p.m. as he will talk about the Civil War and some of the Men from Middletown who served.

Justin Mays is from Middletown, Ohio and has been studying the American Civil War since he was very young. His parents would take he and his brother and to historical sites and American Civil War battlefields and he continues to read and study the Civil War and find interesting facts about family that fought in the war and the outcome of the Civil War. He is Civil War Historian at the Veterans Memorial Museum in Germantown, Ohio and have been a Living Historian of the Civil War for over 20 yrs., been to many large Re-enactments in many states been asked to be in documentaries, movies and plays. Mr. Mays is currently working on a book about the Kanawha Division during the Civil War and talking to ancestors of the men of this division to honor and remember their family that seen the war firsthand.
